1. RESPONSIBLY SOURCED WOOD
It all starts with the right raw material. Our bedding is made from 100% recycled untreated timber with a low moisture content. These are often byproducts of other wood processing activities, helping to reduce waste and extend the lifecycle of harvested timber.
We work closely with our partners to ensure that all incoming wood is:

2. PRECISION PROCESSING
Once the raw wood is selected, it’s time for processing. This is where wood becomes bedding. Our modern facilities are equipped with specialised equipment designed to create the perfect bedding consistency: soft, absorbent and low-dust.
Here’s how we do it:

Chipping : The wood is mechanically chipped to create small chips ideal for bedding. The carefully chosen particle size creates an aerated bedding layer that, when installed at 300mm or more, forms a natural vacuum effect. This helps dry out wet animal waste quickly. As the dried waste generates heat, it reduces animal heat loss, improving comfort and condition. This self-heating effect also boosts feed efficiency and supports better growth and conversion rates.

Drying: Moisture control is key. We naturally air-dry our woodchips to an optimal moisture level to ensure maximum absorbency without becoming brittle or dusty.

Screening and filtering: Our multi-stage filtering system removes dust and fine particles, helping prevent respiratory issues in young or sensitive animals.
