About the role
Based in Hamilton, this territory sales role covers the Central North Island. You will manage and grow an established customer base while developing new business opportunities across our range of products. Building strong relationships with farmers, schools, contractors, councils, and commercial customers will be key to your success. Supported by a strong team, you will manage your own territory, sales pipeline, and sales targets.
About Goodwood
Goodwood is a 100% New Zealand-owned manufacturer of animal bedding, playground surfacing, and landscaping products made from recycled timber. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Sales Representative to manage existing accounts and develop new business opportunities across the Central North Island.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and growing existing customer accounts
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Conducting regular customer visits across the territory
- Preparing quotations and following up sales opportunities
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
- Achieving agreed sales and growth targets
This role offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to take ownership of your territory while being supported by an experienced and collaborative team.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring: A proven sales track record, ideally in agricultural, rural, or product-based sales Strong relationship-building and networking skills across rural and corporate sectors Excellent written and verbal communication Excellent time management, organisation, and self-motivation Strong computer literacy and CRM experience A genuine commitment to environmental sustainability The ability to work both independently and as part of a team A proactive and solutions-focused approach to customer relationships and business development
