Who we are looking for
We are in search of a YARD ADMINISTRATOR who has a hard-working can-do attitude and great organisational skills. You will work alongside us to prevent untreated woodwaste from ending up in landfill.
Based at the Mt. Manganui manufacturing yard in Tip Lane, you will report to the Operations Manager and the Office Manager. As Goodwood’s YARD ADMINISTRATOR, you will:
- Provide administrative and logistics support to the yard team and office-based team members of Goodwood.
- Be responsible for the scheduling and coordination of the Woodwaste collections and deliveries across all depots.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all inward and outward freight movements at the yard and all Health and Safety practices are adhered to.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all staff, inter-company, and Head Office employees to ensure business continuity.
To be eligible for this post you must as a minimum, have the following skills and competencies:
- A minimum of 1 year’s office experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in and an understanding in trucking logistics, preferable, but not necessary as full training will be given.

We are looking for a hard-working yard hand who is keen to learn new skills, has a can-do attitude and great organisational skills to be an integral part of our team – apply HERE!
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Be involved in all aspects of our busy manufacturing yard from pallet sorting and rebuilding, forklift driving, product deliveries and machinery maintenance
- General Yard Maintenance in accordance with Goodwood’s systems and processes.
- Adherence to Site Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
The Successful Applicant
- Is a self-starter

- Shows initiative and is willing to learn and make a difference
Activities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Unload Woodwaste that comes into the yard
- Sort pallets into re-sellable and manufacturable wood piles
- Repair any pallets that could then be resold
- Remove any rubbish/debris/stones or other not acceptable material from product
- Accompany the wood waste driver on collections when required
- Deliveries of Goodwood products in the delivery truck (car licence required)
- Greasing and pre-starts on machinery as required
- Support the team to ensure all fire safety measures are adhered to and maintained across the yard
- Support the team to maintain the yard in a tidy condition
- Hold team members to account to achieve our standard of excellence
Additional Information
- There will be opportunities for the right person to gain more skills/training within the business
- Immediate start is accepted, but we are happy to wait for the right person to work out notice at your current employment
- We run a stringent H&S System which includes regular drug and alcohol testing. Successful applicant must be prepared to participate in all aspects of H&S
- This is a Full-time position. Standard work hours Mon – Fri (7am to 5pm) however there may at times be a requirement for weekend work
