Our Woodwaste Collection Service offers a simple and effective solution for recycling untreated wood waste. Whether you prefer us to collect directly from your site or to drop it off at one of our designated sites, we tailor the service to suit your needs. Although there is a charge for this service, it is offered at a rate lower than the cost of landfill. Not only will you save money, but you will also have the peace of mind of knowing that your woodwaste is being recycled. It’s an easy decision!
What exactly can we recycle?
We accept all untreated wood waste, including pallets (even heat-treated), scaffold boards, crates, orchard bins and much more. The wood must be free of contaminants—no paint, plastic, bolts, or metal brackets. Nails are okay since we remove them during processing. How does our Collection Service Work?
Whether you’re a new or repeat customer, simply notify our Woodwaste team by calling us or filling out the booking form below. Once you request a collection, we’ll schedule it when our driver is next in your area (typically weekly). We’ll then confirm the exact date and time that fits the route.
Our drivers currently offer collections from both Hamilton and Tauranga centres as well as surrounding areas.
Prefer to Drop Off?
If drop-off works better for you, our service is available by appointment at our Mt Maunganui yard on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9am to 3pm (price on application). For our Hamilton customers, we currently only offer our collection service.

What is the Charge for Collection and Drop-Off?
Our recycling service is priced based on the volume of woodwaste collected.
Minimum pallet collection or drop off = 15 pallets, with a charge of $60.00 +GST
We can collect less than 15 pallets, but the minimum charge will still be for one stack
For each additional stack of up to 15 pallets, there is an additional charge of $35.00
It’s important to stack pallets neatly and ensure they are easily accessible. For safety reasons, we can only collect woodwaste that can be loaded using a forklift or pallet jack.
What does Goodwood do with your used Pallets and Woodwaste?
Our goal is to save 1 million tonnes of waste from landfills by 2030, and your support helps us move closer to that target. We recycle and repurpose the wood waste into many different Goodwood products, and as for Pallets in good condition, we sell them directly from our Mt Maunganui and Hamilton yards. These untreated timber pallets are perfect for storage or transport, with a minimum order of 20 and competitive pricing based on quantity.
